Sam Hughes (Striker) vs Luana Pinheiro (Grappler)
Major mismatch to start the night. This is going to be domination by Luana. She is the much better fighter and she’ll be able to dictate where this fight goes and finishes. I don’t think this one makes it out of the first round.
Yilan Sha (Striker/Grappler) vs Sean Soriano (Striker/Grappler)
We will see how this one plays out. Sha is going to try to get him down, but his 14% takedown accuracy is quite bad. But guess what? Soriano had 50% takedown defense. This one will be an interesting one.
Cody Durden (Striker/Grappler) vs Qileng Aori (Striker)
Both of these guys are pretty durable standing and throwing, but are both susceptible to submissions. Durden has more experience on the ground and I could see him getting a submission victory.
Terrance McKinney (Striker/Grappler) vs Fares Ziam (Striker/Grappler)
This is a very interesting one and it could be the one that makes or breaks lineups. McKinney has never made it to the judges in his 14 fights and Ziam is the master of making it a long and slow fight. I think if Ziam gets out of the first, he wins this. If not, McKinney is going to win an early win.
Loma Lookboonmee (Striker/Wrestler) vs Lupita Godinez (Striker)
Fun match up here! Both of these ladies are good strikers and we may see a takedown or two in this fight. One of my favorite bets of the night is Godinez winning this fight.
Rafa Garcia (Striker) vs Natan Levy (Well Rounded)
I’m not a huge fan of Rafa and he may be heading for a tough talk with Dana if he doesn’t win this one. I think Levy is an interesting fighter. His kicks will keep him at range and should be able to add up the strikes for a decision win.
Pat Sabatini (Well Rounded) vs Tucker Lutz (Striker/Wrestler)
Sabatini is super impressive on the ground. I think Lutz will not be able to handle what Sabatini has to bring on the ground. Lutz has never been submitted before, which may make this interesting, but I don’t think he has faced someone like Sabatini.
Adrian Yanez (Striker) vs Davey Grant (Striker)
This may be my favorite fight of the night. It also may be my favorite bet of the night. I think Yanez is really good and has improved in many areas, including his takedown defense. That’s exactly where Grant will need to go to win this fight. Yanez ML.
Rani Yahya (Grappler) vs Kyung Ho Kang (Striker/Grappler)
I think Yahya is going to pressure hard early and try to get Kang in uncomfortable positions. If Kang can survive the early onslaught of Yahya, I think he can pick up a comfortable win.
Joanne Calderwood (Striker) vs Taila Santos (Striker)
Not a fan of Calderwood. She is just so hit and miss. She’ll have great rounds and then horrid rounds. I hate this fight for her.
Mike Chiesa (Grappler) vs Sean Brady (Striker/Wrestler)
Really interested to see how this fight plays out. I have not been high on Chiesa, but he always finds ways to win these tough fights. Brady is a different animal. This fight is super super close, but I give the slight edge to Chiesa.
Ketlen Vieira (Striker/Grappler) vs Miesha Tate (Striker/Grappler)
I have no idea what is going to happen in this fight. I thought Miesha would get killed in her last fight, but she came out and dominated. Which makes this one even more interesting. The thing I worry about with Vieira is her gas tank. That will be tested big time against Tate in a 5 round fight. Enjoy the card everyone!
