Gillian Robertson (Grappler) vs Priscila Cachoeira (Grappler)
I mean, Gillian should crush Priscila and send her towards getting cut, but I hate betting on big woman favorites. Just be careful with this one.
Randy Costa (Striker) vs Tony Kelley (Striker/Grappler)
Costa is very interesting here. He threw 120 strikes in the first round of his last fight. Can he keep that pace up if it goes past the first? It’ll be very interesting to see and something you should keep an eye on.
Ryan Hall (Grappler) vs Darrick Minner (Grappler)
My favorite fighter fights for the second time in a year for the first time in a long time! Ryan Hall is MUST SEE TV. I think this line is not even close to what it should be. Hall should dominate the grappling exchanges. Minner has 11 sub losses in his career and I think we are adding another one here.
Erin Blanchfield (Striker) vs Miranda Maverick (Well Rounded)
I think Maverick can be a really good fighter in her division one day. She just needs to figure out what she needs to do in the Octagon. She just wants to out work everyone and win the fight. Erin knows that she is going to strike well and then try to grapple you and win the fight. Should be a fun one here.
Andre Muniz (Grappler) vs Eryk Anders (Striker)
So many fun and interesting fights on this card and this is another one. Muniz can absolutely win if he gets Anders to the ground. The problem is if he can’t get there, I don’t think Muniz can strike with him. Will be very interesting to see where this one goes.
Bruno Silva (Striker) vs Jordan Wright (Striker)
Well, Bruno Silva may break the jaw of Jordan Wright. He has problems with his chin and Bruno destroys people. Should be a big Bruno win here.
Augusto Sakai (Striker) vs Tai Tuivasa (Striker)
Is anyone not wanting Tai to win this one and drink a shoey? That will pay for the price of admission by itself. I think Tai wins this one with Sakai showing he has some wear in his past few fights.
Pedro Munhoz (Striker/Grappler) vs Dominick Cruz (Well Rounded)
Who the hell wins this one? Such an even fight and so hard to say who wins it. I like the veteran Cruz to find a way to win it, but Munhoz is very good and deserves to get his respect too. Flip a coin here.
Josh Emmett (Striker/Wrestler) vs Dan Ige (Grappler)
Probably my favorite fight of the night. This fight is absolute bonkers. I really like Emmett as a fighter and think he wins it, but Ige is a damn baller too. Ige is fun on the ground and has plenty of nasty subs he can throw. I think Emmett keeps this one on the feet and wins via KO or decision.
Sean O'Malley (Striker) vs Raulian Paiva (Striker/Grappler)
Not a huge fan of Sean. I think he is good, but not what he hypes himself up to be. I think he gets a win here, but don’t be surprised if Paiva shocks the world here.
Kai Kara-France (Striker) vs Cody Garbrandt (Striker)
Also another one of my favorite ones of the night. I really thought Cody would have problems getting down to 125, but he looked so damn good on the scale. I think he can be a real problem at 125. Super fun fight here and this one may choose the winner of the DFS contests.
Santiago Ponzinibbio (Striker/Grappler) vs Geoff Neal (Striker)
This one is a really tough one to call. Neal looked horrible in his last fight vs Magny and Santiago got destroyed vs Li in his last fight. I think I’ll give the edge to the younger fighter in this one. Geoff by TKO in the 3rd.
Amanda Nunes (Striker/Grappler) vs Julianna Pena (Striker/Wrestler)
I feel like it’s the same thing every fight with Nunes. Maybe Pena is the one to finally beat Nunes? Nahhhhhh, I think this is another destruction by Nunes.
Charles Oliveira (Grappler/Striker) vs Dustin Poirier (Well Rounded)
Such a great fight for us fans and I’m sure many agree with me saying that I wish neither of these guys lose. Poirer seems so motivated this week and I don’t know if that’ll be good or bad for him. The last time I’ve seen him like this was when he was younger and not as smart. I hope this motivation translates to better fighting in the Octagon. I think the experience for both of these guys is crazy and will help both of them out if this fight goes late. Enjoy the card everyone!
