Julio Arce (Striker) vs Daniel Santos (Striker)
Very tough spot for Santos to make his debut. Arce will be good wherever this fight goes. I think he will take this to the ground if things get too wild striking.
Pierangela Rodriguez Giunta (Striker) vs Kay Hansen (Wrestler)
This is an interesting fight because Rodriguez is very interesting and has very good striking. The problem is the Hansen is such a solid wrestler that it’ll be hard for Rodriguez to show off this striking.
Anthony Hernandez (Grappler) vs Joshua Fremd (Striker/Grappler)
This fight is much closer than the odds suggest and neither of these guys make it to the judges often. I really like this fight and I think it will be a finish. I give the edge to Hernandez, but could see this one going either way.
Alexey Oleinik (Grappler) vs Jared Vanderaa (Striker)
I don’t think anyone is picking Alexey in this one. He is 44 and definitely on his way out, but I think he gets win number 50 and then retires and this is the fight he gets it!! BOA CONSTRICTOR
Mickey Gall (Striker/Grappler) vs Mike Malott (Striker/Grappler)
Gall has really improved his striking and it’s been very impressive. Malott has some upside, but definitely has some things he needs to improve and we may see Gall try to expose these. Look for Malott to try to find an early submission or Gall will take over this fight.
Aspen Ladd (Grappler) vs Raquel Pennington (Striker)
I was very excited about Ladd when she first came into the UFC and now it seems like she hasn’t improved at all since being in the UFC. Rocky is going to out work her and be the more physical fighter and win this.
Ian Garry (Striker) vs Darian Weeks (Striker)
Garry and Paddy are both being hyped up pretty hard by the UFC, but I don’t think either will be the next big thing. I do think Garry should win this fight in a fun fashion. Garry has some wild striking and should be able to overwhelm Weeks.
Vinc Pichel (Striker) vs Mark O. Madsen (Wrestler)
I can’t believe this is on the main card of a PPV. With that being said, I think this fight will be a slow, grind it out, and see what fighter can edge out a victory. I give the edge to Vinc here.
Mackenzie Dern (Grappler) vs Tecia Torres (Striker)
This really is a coinflip fight. Will Dern get close enough with her striking to grapple with Dern and get her to the ground? Or will Tecia be able to keep Dern at distance and keep picking Dern apart. I think it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Gilbert Burns (Grappler) vs Khamzat Chimaev (Grappler)
I think I am just going to keep picking against Khamzat because I’ll look really smart when he loses. Gilbert has some damn good striking and he showed that when he was picking apart Usman in the first round. The problem is if Khamzat can get this to the ground… I really want Burns to win…
Aljamain Sterling (Striker/Wrestler) vs Petr Yan (Striker)
Okay fellow paydirt subscribers, you know the drill here. Aljo winning. I really do believe that! If you go back and watch the first 2 rounds, Aljo was pushing the pace and controlling the fight. He may not have been winning, but he was controlling it. Aljo looked good at weigh ins and looked motivated. GIVE ME ALJO.
Alex Volkanovski (Well Rounded) vs Chan Sung Jung (Well Rounded)
The one big favorite I like. With that being said, Volk is way too big of a favorite here. It really does take one shot to put you out. TKZ is too easy to hit and Volk will piece him apart for the whole night. Give me the champ.
BETS:
Sterling +350 (hehe)
Burns +380 (why not)
Pennington -190
Gall +155
Hansen +110
Olenik +100
