Fernando Garcia (Striker) vs Journey Newson (Boxer/Wrestler)
Garcia should set the pace in this fight. Journey will want to slow this down and he may try to take it to the ground. This is a really close fight and a really bad fight.
Lupita Godinez (Striker/Wrestler) vs Ariane Carnelossi (Striker/Grappler)
Both of these ladies are wrestlers and it should be interesting to see how this one plays out. I think Godinez is the better offensive wrestler, so I’ll give it to her.
Carlos Vergara (Striker) vs Kleydson Rodrigues (Striker)
I really like Kleydson. I think he has a chance to be very good. With that being said, he wins here pretty easily.
Tracy Cortez (Striker) vs Melissa Gatto (Grappler)
I want to pick Tracy cause she is muy caliente. The problem is that Gatto is going to win this. Gatto is going to put the pressure on Tracy and I think it’s going to cause problems for her.
Andre Fialho (Striker) vs Cameron VanCamp (Striker/Grappler)
VanCamp has some really rough grappling skills and it’s going to cause some problems here. Fialho is really good wherever it goes, so one mistake by VanCamp and this might be over.
Blagoy Ivanov (Striker) vs Marcos Rogerio de Lima (Striker)
Lima has an advantage when he can wrestle guys. Ivanov is very tough to get to the ground and that'll help Ivanov get a dub. Give me the guy that got stabbed!
Brandon Royval (Striker/Grappler) vs Matt Schnell (Striker/Grappler)
This fight is so damn awesome! One of my favorite fights on the card. I really really like Schnell and I want him to win this, but Royval has some really nasty striking.
Norma Dumont (Grappler) vs Macy Chiasson (Wrestler)
I think size is going to play a big factor in this one. I’m glad Macy decided to move back down. She is going to be good with how tall she is.
Francisco Trinaldo (Striker) vs Danny Roberts (Striker)
I went to the odds and thought I would see Roberts as a solid sized favorite and then I saw it was even. I think Trinaldo has to start declining here soon, right? He is 1000 years old and just throws a left haymaker. Give me the brit.
Randy Brown (Striker) vs Khaos Williams (Striker)
This fight is awesome! It should be pure chaos….. I had to. The thing Khaos has struggled with is range and Randy has quite a bit of range. I think Randy uses his range and gives Khaos a lot of problems.
Donald Cerrone (Well Rounded) vs Joe Lauzon (Grappler)
This is such a bad matchup for Cowboy. Cowboy is such a slow starter and Joe starts so fast and goes so hard for a first round finish. I just don’t see Cowboy winning this one and it sucks.
Ovince St. Preux (Striker) vs Mauricio Rua (Striker)
I hate this fight. I really don’t need to see it again. There are plenty of fights I’d rather have on the main card. It is what it is. Shogun may have a good first round and win it then, but I think OSP wins it late.
Michael Chandler (Striker/Wrestler) vs Tony Ferguson (Well Rounded)
What a fight! I love love love Chandler here. This is just such a bad fight for Tony with how he has been fighting in his past few fights. I just don’t see where he wins this. Michael showed he can go to war and still throw power. Tony just turns into a zombie.
Rose Namajunas (Striker/Grappler) vs Carla Esparza (Wrestler)
I have really been impressed by Carlas improvement with her striking recently. I think she won’t need striking much in this fight though. I think she is going to be able to take Rose down very easily and this will play out a lot like the first one.
Charles Oliveira (Striker/Grappler) vs Justin Gaethje (Striker/Wrestler)
What a fight to end the night. I am a Justin lover, so I was already going to pick him to win, but after all the events at the weigh in, it really makes me believe that Charles is going to have a tough time. The events at the weigh in are really exhausting, emotionally and physically. Charles has been talking about standing there and trading with Justin and that’s the very last thing he will want to do.
