Dshell’s MMA Main Event 6.4.2022

Welcome to the PayDirt MMA breakdowns

MMA is a sport based on opportunity and split second decision making. The breakdowns that we try to focus on here will be looking at stylistic differences between fighters and how they will impact the card. Although the breakdowns won't usually be long, they'll have info on fighter strengths and weaknesses and how we expect them to be exploited. Towards the end of the article there will be the five best bets on the slate for you to tail!

Erin Blanchfield (Well Rounded) vs JJ Aldrich (Striker)

Pretty tough test for Aldrich. Blanchfield will be the best grappler she has faced. We will see how she fares vs. her.

Andreas Michailidis (Striker) vs Rinat Fakhretdinov (Wrestler)

Another tough fight for Andreas here. His cardio could be a big issue in this one. Rinat will wrestle him non stop in this one and wear him out.

Jeff Molina (Grappler) vs Zhalgas Zhumagulov (Striker)

This should be a fun fight. Both guys are willing to throw and both are quite durable. Should be one of the fun ones to watch tonight.

Tony Gravely (Striker/Wrestler) vs Johnny Munoz Jr. (Grappler)

Gravely will want to keep this one standing, where he is much better on the feet. If it does get to the ground, Munoz has a big advantage in this one.

Benoit Saint-Denis (Grappler) vs Niklas Stolze (Striker)

I like the dog in this one. Stolze has shown he can stop the takedown and that’s pretty much all Benoit can do. If he does get him down, it should be all Benoit though.

Damon Jackson (Grappler) vs Dan Argueta (Grappler)

Tough spot here for Argueta. Fighting his debut on short notice and up a weight class? Also vs a Wrestler? Should be Damon winning this one.

Joseph Solecki (Grappler) vs Alex da Silva (Striker/Grappler)

Solecki has been much more impressive in the UFC than Silva. Silva is the better striker in this one, so if he wants to pull the upset then he is going to need to try to keep this fight standing.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz (Striker) vs Felice Herrig (Well Rounded)

I am a Karolina lover, so I won’t have a ton to say here besides my girl is getting back in the W column.

Alonzo Menifield (Striker) vs Askar Mozharov (Striker)

LOL. All this stuff with this dude's name is hilarious. With that being said, he is getting another L.

Ode Osbourne (Striker) vs Zarrukh Adashev (Striker)

Ode has been impressive lately and I think he can keep this at range and win this fight. Adashev is just too one dimensional for this one.

Poliana Botelho (Striker/Grappler) vs Karine Silva (Striker/Grappler)

This shall be an ugly one lol. Love that this is a fight on a main card. I think Botelho has the edge in this one because it seems Silva is still trying to figure things out. Who knows though lol.

Michael Trizano (Striker) vs Lucas Almeida (Striker)

Almedia starts very fast and really tries to finish it early. If Mike can handle this onslaught then it will be easy for him. But it’s no easy task getting by Almedia early.

Dan Ige (Grappler) vs Movsar Evloev (well Rounded)

This is such a tough one to call. Ige is really good and has great punching power on top of great grappling skills. With that being said, Evloev is much better on the ground. I think Ige has a path to victory and that’s staying on his feet.

Alexander Volkov (Striker) vs Jair Rozenstruik (Striker)

The gatekeeper for the heavyweights is back to try and put Jair back down a bit. The problem in this one is Volkov has looked quite bad recently and I have been hurt by him too many times recently. I like Jair in this one because I think he can be the faster fighter and also the stronger fighter.

BETS:

  • Stolze +135
  • Solecki -175
  • Kowalkiewicz +100
  • Osbourne -190
  • Rozenstruik +135
