These are based on ownership, projections and upside so always take that into account.
Minnesota
The Wild seem to score in bunches and on a four game slate with some heavy chalk that is exactly what I am going to count on happening tonight. If you’re just looking at Implied Team Totals (ITT) the Wild are bunched up with a few other teams right in the middle tier of this slate but their low ownership and high upside make them my top GPP play of the night.
Players to build around: Hartman (Under 10% owned), Kaprizov (Under 10% owned)
Calgary
The Flames are projecting to be rostered pretttttyyyyy heavily tonight and for good reason. I think you can get a pretty solid build without them in large field contests but I also don’t think you need to avoid them with a decent number of low owned options on this bite sized slate. If you really want exposure to Calgary but want to avoid the high ownership try building around the players below, who may be going overlooked as everyone runs to the bigger names.
Players to build around: Backlund (Under 10% owned), Hanifin (Under 10% owned)
Ottawa
The Senators’ ITT has steadily risen throughout the day as Vegas now sees them as the probable 3rd highest scoring team on the slate. The more I dive into this matchup the more it grows on me as they’re facing a Blue Jackets team that has allowed 4 or more goals in 5 of their 7 games in the month of March. If you’re a fan of the motivational wisdom of the great Ricky Bobby and embrace the “If you ain't first you’re last” mindset then a Minnesota/Ottawa stack may be for you.
