Another day, another juicy NHL slate to get spicy with. Last night we hit on Buffalo as our top stack at low ownership and while it may not be my top stack tonight, I have another spicy team that the field should overlook so let’s get to it.
These are based on ownership, projections and upside so always take that into account.
Minnesota will not go overlooked tonight but on a nine game slate I’m not too worried about them drawing an obscene amount of ownership. The Wild get a great matchup tonight with a weak Philly team which earns them the second highest Implied Team Total (ITT) on the slate. I’m going wild for the Wild tonight.
Players to build around: Hatman, Kaprizov
The Panthers are back home for the first time in what seems like forever tonight after their seven game road trip and they really couldn’t get a better matchup. To put it simply the Canadians are pretttttyyyy prettttyyyy bad and Florida should score a lot of goals. The field knows this though and as much as I think ownership will be spread out on this slate I wouldn’t pair the Panthers with the Wild if you are playing limited entries in large field tournaments.
Players to build around: Giroux, Barkov
Gonna go ahead and speak it into existence here… the Ducks…. they will be mighty. With a 2.5 ITT tonight the Ducks are one of my spicier calls in recent memory. I wouldn’t go this direction if you are someone who likes avoiding risk but there is so much value in that Anaheim lineup and the Stars are allowing almost four goals per game this month. If you’re trying to take down the big one the Ducks might be the team to do it for you.
Players to build around: Getzlaf, Drysdale
