Buffalo
“But Woody Buffalo is bad and their Implied Team Total (ITT) is the third lowest on the slate!”. Exactly….. Chicago is also #NotGood and allowing close to 4 goals per game over their last five. If I can get Tuch, Skinner, Krebs, Tage and co at low ownership in this matchup on a five game slate I’m gonna pull the trigger.
Players to build around: Skinner, Thompson
Carolina
The Canes are good. The field knows their good. They’ll draw significant ownership. They still grade out pretty well for me because of their pricing and projection. I’m comfortable pairing them with Buffalo in small or large field gpp’s although that pairing may make me consider goalie ownership in large field contests.
Players to build around: DeAngelo, Trochek (Aho if you’re building around L1)
Edmonton
Do not pair the Oilers with the Canes in large field tournaments unless you’re playing a low owned line. Those two along with the Caps look like they’ll be the highest owned teams but there is still leverage to be had by mixing and matching appropriately.
