My TOP 5 Fights For DFS:

- Mike Rodriguez vs. Tafon Nchuwki
Emily Whitmire (Striker) vs. Hannah Goldy (Striker)
First fight of the night isn’t a great one. Two ladies that aren’t very good. I’d give the slight edge to Whitmire on the ground and that may be the difference in this one.
Projected Ownership:
- Whitmire: 9%
- Goldy: 11%
DFS Thoughts: I may take a shot at this one for Whitmire. I think IF she can get this to the ground, she may have a path for a finish. This is a longshot though.
Heili Alateng (Striker) vs. Gustavo Lopez (Striker)
Interesting fight here. I could see 2 very different things happening in this one. I could totally see Alateng use his wrestling skills and try to takedown and control the fight. I could also see Lopez rocking Alateng and getting a finish.
Projected Ownership:
- Alateng: 12%
- Lopez: 16%
DFS Thoughts: For Draftkings, I like what Alateng has to offer with his wrestling background. I like Lopez on Fanduel with his striking power.
Impa Kasanganay (Striker/Wrestler) vs. Carlston Harris (Grappler)
Both of these guys have really solid chances to win this fight. Impa will try and use strength and athleticism to control it, while Carlston may try to get it to the ground more often.
Projected Ownership:
- Impa: 17%
- Harris: 27%
DFS Thoughts: I’m a big Impa fan and I think his athleticism is going to be a major factor in this one.
Erin Blanchfield (Grappler) vs. Sarah Alpar (Grappler)
We know at Paydirt what we do with large favorites as women. We do not play them. I am staying away from this fight. It’s a horrible matchup for Alpar and Blanchfield should win this one.
Projected Ownership:
- Blanchfield: 19%
- Alpar: 5%
DFS Thoughts: I don’t like this fight. That’s all.
Montel Jackson (Striker) vs. JP Buys (Wrestler)
I think this fight is much closer than the line says. Montel has a huge advantage in size and striking, but JP can make this fight real interesting if he gets it to the ground.
Projected Ownership:
- Jackson: 41%
- Buys: 16%
DFS Thoughts: I definitely think I am going to take a shot at Buys! Why not!
Zhu Rong (Striker) vs. Brandon Jenkins (Striker)
This will be an interesting one. It’s a low level MMA fight. You know what that means? This could be pretty crazy. Either of these guys can win this one.
Projected Ownership:
- Rong: 43%
- Jenkins: 14%
DFS Thoughts: I will not be playing Rong. His price is so low for a -350 favorite. I may fully fade it here.
Raquel Pennington (Striker) vs. Pannie Kianzad (Wrestler/Boxer)
Another fight that just absolutely sucks. This will go to the judges and will be a split decision win for one of them

- Pennington: 9%
- Kianzad: 12%
DFS Thoughts: I will not be using either of these ladies. If I had to choose one, I would choose Pennington. I think she MAY have a chance at a finish victory.
Mike Rodriguez (Striker) vs. Tafon Nchuwki (Striker)
I am a big fan of Tafon. I think he could be a really good fighter in the UFC. He throws a ton of output and that should bother the slower Mike Rodriguez quite a bit.
Projected Ownership:
- Rodriguez: 21%
- Nchuwki: 19%
DFS Thoughts: I think this is a really good fight to split. I could see both of these guys winning this one. I give the edge to Tafon though.
Joaquin Buckley (Striker) vs. Antonio Arroyo (Striker)
Buckley will wear Arroyo down and finish him in the second or third. Hopefully we see something as cool as his kick KO.
Projected Ownership:
- Buckley: 22%
- Arroyo: 16%
DFS Thoughts: I may lock Buckley in here. I think the line should be closer to -300.
Tony Gravely (Striker/Wrestler) vs. Nate Maness (Striker)
Maness isn’t as good as his record seems. He has had some really close wins that could have gone either way. We know what we will get from Gravely and I think he delivers a win here.
Projected Ownership:
- Gravely: 33%
- Maness: 24%
DFS Thoughts: I may fade if those ownership numbers are correct. I think this one is going to the judges.
Arman Tsarukyan (Well Rounded) vs. Christos Giagos (Striker)
Not much to say in this one. Watch this one for a clinic by Arman. Giagos won’t be able to do much at all with the pace of Arman.

- Tsarukyan: 39%
- Giagos: 13%
DFS Thoughts: I am using a ton of Arman in this one. I think his pace is going to lead to a ton of points in fantasy.
Ariane Lipski (Striker) vs. Mandy Bohm (Well Rounded)
This is a big time coin flip fight. How will Bohm deal with a UFC level fighter? Will her wrestling be good enough to deal with Lipski? I think Lipski is too wild and should be able to win this one.
Projected Ownership:
- Lipski: 21%
- Bohm: 22%
Projected Ownership: I didn’t expect these ladies to be this highly owned. I was going to have some Lipski shares, but I will not if she is 20-25% owned.
Ion Cutelaba (Sambo) vs. Devin Clark (Wrestler)
Crazy that this is a co main event. This fight isn’t good, but there will be a KO and it will come from Ion. He will KO Clark early on.
Projected Ownership:
- Cutelaba: 24%
- Clark: 19%
DFS Thoughts: I will have lots of shares of this fight. Mostly Ion, but I will have a few with Clark. They are both bad fighters who get finished a ton.
Anthony Smith (Striker) vs. Ryan Spann (Striker/Grappler)
This main event should tell you everything you need to know about this card. Pretty bad card with fights that could have some wild KOs. This is another one of those. Spann is one of my least favorite fighters in the UFC. I do not think he is good at all. Smith is less shitty and his technical striking should give some problems for Spann.
Projected Ownership:
- Smith: 38%
- Spann: 37%
DFS Thoughts: I agree with the ownership on Smith, but Spann is just too high. We should be taking advantage of that and play more Smith. That’s what I’ll do!
